Emergency jobs during working hours are charged at our standard rates, with no inflated emergency fees; urgent jobs are simply prioritised where availability allows. Plumbing call-outs are £110 + VAT for the first hour, gas and boiler work £130 + VAT, then half-hourly after that. Evening, weekend and bank-holiday call-outs are reserved for genuine emergencies, subject to availability, at £180–£200 + VAT for the first hour. Full details on our rates page.
Dripping taps, running toilets, a radiator that won't heat: no job is too small. We've provided a local call-out service since we began and it remains a core part of what we do across St Albans, Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding villages.
For a water leak: turn off the stop tap (usually under the kitchen sink) and open cold taps to drain the pipework down. For a pressurised boiler losing pressure fast, switch it off at the fused spur. Call us and we'll guide you through it.
